Ready to go on a treasure hunt? Then head to the Eco-Elephant Family Flea Market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, June 18. Held at the Dorbrook Recreation Area, Colts Neck, this event features a mixture of new items, furniture, antiques, novelties and more. Admission and parking are free.
Here’s what else we have planned:
- Stand-up Paddle Boarding on the River from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 at Swimming River Park, Middletown. Spend time on the water with instructor and Aloha Guides owner Brian Dellett and refine your strokes and techniques. Pre-registration and fee required.
- Freshwater Fishing Derby from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday, June 18 & 19. The fun starts on Saturday at Manasquan Reservoir, Howell, and on Sunday moves to Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold. Each day starts with a free fishing clinic from 12:30-1:30 p.m., followed by the derby. The cost of each day is $8 per person or $25 for a family of four. Pre-registration accepted. On site registration is cash or check only.
- Seining Along Sandy Hook Bay from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, June 20-August 26 at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth. Discover what’s living in Sandy Hook Bay as we pull our seine net through the water. Meet on the beach. Weather permitting. Additional sessions planned from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Tuesday & Thursday, June 21 & 23 at the Popamora Point section of the Henry Hudson Trail in Highlands. FREE!
- Summer Solstice Golf Challenge on Tuesday, June 21 at Charleston Spring Golf Course, Millstone. Welcome summer by challenging yourself to play 54 holes of golf in one day during this noncompetitive event. Pre-registration and fee required.
- Step into Stories – “Goodnight Moon” from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 at the Dorbrook Recreation Area Program Building, Colts Neck. Wear your pajamas as we read this beloved bedtime story, make a craft, and go on a "moonwalk." Open to ages 2-5 with adult. Pre-registration and fee required.
- Real Philadelphia Walking Tour on Friday, June 24. See the city through the eyes of a real Philadelphian during this walking tour filled with local tips and insider recommendations. The bus leaves from Thompson Park, Lincroft, at 9 a.m. and will return at approximately 8 p.m. Pre-registration and fee required.
