The selling of any domestic animal in a mall is bad enough, but now they are selling a particular squirrel as a novelty "gift" for the holidays.

Hi everyone,
My day was ruined today when I ran to the Freehold Mall at lunch to get something and walked into the main entrance only to see a huge concession with people selling these cute little squirrels. [Sugar Gliders.. or something like that]. A big banner saying "Pocket Pets" and tons of people with kids playing with these terrified little creatures. They have little tiny boxes they sell them in like toys for Christmas shoppers. I was outraged and asked the information desk who approved this cruel concession and I asked her for the manager's info and she gave me the name of the Mall Management. So please take a second and at least email the Mall. It was so awful to see these cute little animals treated like toys.
So please write, email, call and fax the management and let them know that this is cruel and that these animals will likely end up in shelters or dumped in cold weather and that they are not "pocket pets" or toys. And that you will shop at another Mall unless they stop selling these little creatures. It is also worth noting that these animals might spread diseases for all we know. Please send to your friends, spouses, partners, kids in this area and ask them to do the same. If you are with an animal organization, please send or fax a letter from the organization as well as your personal response. Thanks! I attached a pix I took with my phone of just one side of the display. You can see the banner and the tiny boxes they get sold in. Here's the info:
