I am a buyer that is interested in buying a house on the jersey shore!
Oh we can not show it this week end, we have visitors, can you come back another day?
HELLOOOOOOOO OUT THERE?
What's with you SELLERS and Agents?
The market is NOT DOING GREAT and here are BUYERS who potentially may be interested in your property?
Why bother putting your house on the market? You have lost the first interest of a potential buyer and most especially if they are driving down from the city to look at properties.
As a broker associate I am very frustrated with these types of sellers and agents because I have valid buyers sincerely looking to purchase because the market is not doing great so there fore this is a good time to buy and the sellers and agents make it difficult.
Your house is on the market to sell! Well then make it convenient to sell! It takes only ONE buyer to make your house SOLD!
Remember when you put your home on the market it is now an OBJECT to be sold, it is no longer a home it is a house. Yes, it will be inconvenient, but isn't that worth it when the house is sold?
SO, when putting your house on the market make it EASY for other realtors with their buyers to SHOW the house. After all they may have that ONE BUYER who may want to BUY the house!
I can't begin to tell you the frustration as a REALTOR, when I set up appointments for my buyers who want to see certain homes and there are all sorts of restrictions. My answer to the buyers is that the seller is not serious about selling and that there are plent of other houses on the market to select from so this house may be a moot point.
Imagine if I say this to my buyers what do other agent say. In this market BUYERS are GOLD!
The take away point make it easy and as convenient as possible to have your house shown.
Lockbox not a key with the realtor who has to meet you at the listing or the agent has to pick up the key at the office. 9 time out of 10 the office is out of the way and inconvenient especially when the agent is showing 5 to 10 houses.
At the end of the day you want your house sold. So make it easy to get it sold!
