MANALAPAN, NJ – The news is disturbing. Teens are driven to suicide by cyberbullying. Teens – and younger – are engaging in “sexting,” defined as sending sexually explicit or suggestive images and text from one cell phone or electronic device to another.
If these issues concern you, come to the Monmouth County Library Headquarters on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. for a free program called “Teen Challenges”
The dangers and consequences of cyberbullying and sexting will be presented in theater form by the New Mystic Theatre Group, "Infinite Possibilities in Theatre, Music, Poetry and Prose." Discussion will follow the presentation.
If you have been a victim of cyberbullying, you are not alone! This program is recommended for tweens and teens and their parents. No registration is necessary.
The Monmouth County Library Headquarters is located at 125 Symmes Drive in Manalapan. For more information on this program, please call 732-431-7222, or please visit the Library website at www.monmouthcountylib.org
