> An artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony was held on Aug. 19 to recognize the talented winners of the 2015 Monmouth County Senior Art Contest & Exhibition at the Library Headquarters in Manalapan.

> Monmouth County will host three fall 2015 Paper Shredding events in local communities so that Monmouth County residents have opportunities to get rid of old documents and confidential files safely.

> The Court Jester has joined
> the growing list of Monmouth County businesses that have benefitted from the Grow Monmouth Façade Improvement Program, receiving $1,850 for recent upgrades to the exterior of their building.

> Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone also presented façade improvement checks to Patrick Parker Realty in Bradley Beach and Little Dog Brewery in Neptune City this week. Read more about this great program.
> Hope for the Hungry Concert is Aug. 26!

> On the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 26, the plaza in front of the Hall of Records will again be filled with great music, good times and the family and friends of Bill Heine when the second annual Hope for the Hungry Concert takes place.

> Performing from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. will be Turnstyles, a local band known for its exceptional versions of classic Billy Joel, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen songs.

> The concert is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a nonperishable item, especially canned fruit, for donation to the benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The rain date is Friday, Aug. 28.
